EDUCATIONAL TOURS

Powering Possible For The Next Generation Of Manufacturing

WELCOMING EDUCATORS OF ALL VARIETIES

Join Us for a Behind-the-Scenes Tour of Our State-of-the-Art Facility.

Through continuous investment in our facilities—including advanced testing and winding capabilities—we’re committed to driving progress in the power industry. That includes fostering an eye for engineering excellence in today’s youth, who will lead manufacturing tomorrow.

We’re proud to welcome groups for educational tours, and we define the idea of a classroom pretty loosely. From high school students deciding on their next steps, to Scouts getting their first glimpse of big, powerful machinery, we welcome all tinkerers and inquisitive minds.

We’ll Share A Century of Experience:

Hear The History Of The Power Industry

In 1933, Niagara Power Transformer designed and manufactured our first new industrial grade transformer. Having started in a former Buffalo trolley barn in 1924 as a manufacturer of small dry type and pole top transformers, we now have more than a century of experience in the industry.

Inspire Curiosity in Technology

Young innovators are the next generation to think about future applications or improvements in energy distribution systems. Tours at Niagara Power Transformer are a great opportunity to learn about electricity generation and distribution in a practical application, which are fundamental concepts in physics and electrical engineering.

Experience Power As A Growing Field

Visiting a facility like Niagara Power Transformer can provide insights into potential career paths in engineering, manufacturing, and technology. It allows young people to see firsthand what these industries involve and what skills are required. We know this experience supports curiosity in a field that’s only growing as demand on the power grid rises, providing many possible avenues to a rewarding career.
